Waffle Monkey runs five cafes — in Grand Cayman, Costa Rica, and Florida — and this small website. We do our best to respect your privacy and keep the data we collect to the minimum needed to run the business.
What we collect
On this website
We don't run ads, we don't use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any third-party tracking. The only data we keep in your browser is a small amount of local storage — see our Cookie Policy for the full list. None of it is shared with anyone.
When you visit a cafe
If you pay by card, your transaction is processed by our payment provider (Stripe, or the local merchant terminal). We never see or store your full card number.
When you email us
If you contact us at waffles@wafflemonkey.net, we keep your message and reply so we can follow up. We don't add you to a mailing list without your explicit OK.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you have rights to see what we hold, correct it, or have it deleted — under Florida's Digital Bill of Rights, the Cayman Islands Data Protection Act, or Costa Rica's Law 8968, depending on which cafe you've visited. Email waffles@wafflemonkey.net with what you'd like us to do and we'll respond within 30 days.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the "last updated" date at the top. Material changes will be flagged on the homepage for at least 14 days.
