Waffle Monkey was born during a family adventure through the palm-fringed and sun-soaked Pacific coast of Costa Rica and Nicaragua. Built around two simple ideas — freshly made waffles, served warm with proper care, and great locally-sourced Costa Rican coffee — one cafe became two. Two became five — and today you'll find us in Tamarindo, Flamingo, Grand Cayman, Sarasota and Bonita Springs.

Freshly Prepared. Our waffles are made to order — crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside — with the freshest of toppings. Not a dry crusty waffle in sight! And our coffee is sourced from Costa Rican growers and pulled with care, whether you're in Florida, the Cayman Islands or Costa Rica.
Family Friendly. At our heart, we're a family brand — and don't the kids just love us! Bring out your inner child too and indulge with our feel-good waffles … and treat your kids or grands to a super special breakfast.
Fun Lovin'. Fine … we admit it … we love monkeying around! We don't take ourselves too seriously and we have fun doing what we do. Come as you are — whether you're a regular grabbing your usual or a traveller wandering in for the first time — and taste the Waffle Monkey experience.
Firmly Flexible. Well yes, that's a contradiction in terms, but we are firm in our flexibility. Eating out is a treat and we understand it needs to be special. So if you'd like to add an extra waffle topping or two, or have your eggs done a certain way, please just ask and we'll aim to accommodate your preference.

Walk into one of our cafes and you're bound to feel uplifted! With an easy-going beachy vibe, each cafe is independently owned by people who love this brand as much as we do. That means every Waffle Monkey carries the same DNA — good waffles, great coffee, upbeat vibes — yet each one has its own personality, shaped by the people behind the counter and the community out front. We know a happy team makes happy customers, and there's not a corporate playbook in sight. From Tamarindo's sand to Sarasota's Gallery Row, you'll always recognise a Waffle Monkey — and you'll always feel welcome.
Community
We love getting involved in community projects; we often provide vouchers for local fundraisers and help sponsor community events. And as a family-friendly brand we also love to get involved with local schools where we can. Some of our past projects have included: hosting a fundraiser for OASIAS (Opera for Animals) in Sarasota, sponsoring an event at Bonita Springs Elementary (BSE), and supporting various grass roots initiatives in Grand Cayman.
